Participant Handbook

How the programme runs

This is a readable version of the Participant Handbook, which is referred to in Clause 6.4 of your Programme Agreement and forms part of it. You receive and acknowledge the signed Handbook before you start; that signed version governs. It can be updated for operational, security, compliance or administrative reasons on notice to you, but it cannot change your fee, the duration, what the Company has committed to provide, the ownership of what you produce, or the nature of the programme without your written agreement.

1. What this programme is

Twelve weeks of supervised practical work applying artificial intelligence to real business processes. There is no syllabus, no lecture and nobody who will teach you in the conventional sense. Mentors are available to you on a committed schedule and will answer what you ask them. The initiative is yours: if you arrive without questions, you will leave without much. That is how it is designed, and it was set out to you before you paid.

2. Hours, attendance and punctuality

  • •Programme operating hours are 09:00 to 18:00, Monday to Saturday.
  • •In-office participants attend on site; online participants attend remotely and may attend the office one day a week.
  • •Paying a fee does not mean choosing your own hours. You keep to programme hours and office protocols.
  • •Tell your Supervisor in advance if you cannot attend. Absence without intimation is recorded.
  • •Attendance is logged and forms part of the assessment and the decision to issue your Certificate.
ConductConsequence
Late arrival, first and second occasionRecorded; verbal reminder from the Supervisor
Persistent latenessWritten warning; entry on the participant file

Breach of security, confidentiality or conduct rulesImmediate withdrawal of access; termination under Clause 9

No monetary penalty is ever imposed, and no consequence under this section gives rise to any refund.

3. Conduct

  • •Treat everyone on the premises, staff, mentors, other participants and visitors, with courtesy. You are a guest in a working office.
  • •Follow the dress and behaviour standards that apply to staff.
  • •Do not disturb client-facing work areas or join meetings you have not been invited to.
  • •Do not photograph, film or record anything on the premises, including screens, whiteboards and other people, without permission.
  • •Do not post about internal work, clients, other participants or staff on social media.

4. Information security

  • •You are given your own credentials. They are yours alone: never share them, never use someone else’s.
  • •Multi-factor authentication is mandatory on every account issued to you.
  • •You have access to programme environments only. Do not attempt to reach production systems, client environments, client repositories or any system you were not given access to.
  • •If you come across client material, personal data or anything confidential, stop, tell your Supervisor immediately, and do not copy or keep it.
  • •Report anything that looks like a security problem the same day. Reporting a mistake promptly is always treated better than concealing one.

5. Bring your own device

This is a bring-your-own-device programme. You provide and use your own laptop throughout; the Company supplies access to its internal AI tools and working environment, not the hardware.

  • •Keep your device in good working order, up to date, and reasonably secured, including a screen lock and, where available, disk encryption.
  • •Follow the Company’s access and security rules whenever you are connected, and keep multi-factor authentication on every account issued to you.
  • •Do not download, copy, retain or transmit the Company’s internal tools, code, configuration, credentials or data onto your device or anywhere else.
  • •Do not connect personal storage devices to Company machines, and do not install unapproved software into programme environments.
  • •You are responsible for your own device, its security and any loss of your own data. On completion or removal from the programme, your access is revoked and you delete any Company material from your device.

6. Using AI tools

This is an AI programme, so the rules about AI tools matter more here than they would anywhere else. If you are unsure whether something can go into a tool, assume it cannot and ask your Supervisor first.

Permitted

  • ✓Using the accounts and tools the Company provides
  • ✓Pasting your own draft text and analysis
  • ✓Public information and your own research
  • ✓Synthetic and seeded data provided to you
  • ✓Asking the tool to explain or critique your work

Not permitted

  • ×Using personal accounts for Programme work
  • ×Pasting Company source code, configuration or credentials
  • ×Any client name, client matter or client document
  • ×Any personal data of any identifiable person
  • ×Uploading anything marked confidential or internal

7. What you build

Work you produce on programme assignments belongs to the Company under Clause 5 of your Agreement, including analysis, models, documentation, configurations and tools built using Company resources or environments. Work you create independently, on your own time and without Company resources, remains yours. You may describe the kind of work you did in your CV or portfolio in general terms; you may not reproduce or publish the work itself, and you may not present Company material as your own.

8. Harassment

You are covered by the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 for the whole of your time on the programme, whether you attend in person or remotely. Complaints go to the Internal Committee, whose members and contact details are displayed on the premises and provided at induction. Where the Act requires, a complaint may be taken to the Local Committee instead. You are entitled to be heard.

9. If something goes wrong

Day to day, raise it with your Supervisor or Mentor first; most things are resolved there. If that does not resolve it, put it in writing to the Programme Manager and you will get a response within fourteen days. Nothing here stops you raising a complaint with any authority or forum, and your statutory rights are unaffected. If you are dissatisfied, say so early and in writing: it is easier to fix something in week two than to argue about it in week eleven.

10. When you finish

Return any Company property and delete Company material from your own devices; you may be asked to confirm this in writing. Your access is revoked on your last day, which is routine, not a judgement. Your Certificate of Completion is issued if you completed the term and submitted your module outputs, and it records your dates, your Supervisor and the work you did. Your confidentiality obligations continue after you leave and do not expire.

What this programme does not give you

Set out again because it matters: no job, no offer, no placement, no interview, no stipend, no income, and no qualification recognised by any authority. The Certificate records what you did; it is not a degree or a diploma and should not be described as one. The fee is not refundable, which was disclosed to you before payment and separately acknowledged at payment.
